A brooding and evocative collection of jazz, electronica and post rock-tinged instrumentals, A Beautiful Stage dreams of lost Russian astronauts, fallen Hollywood stars and, on the title track, Phillipe Petit's vertiginous wire walk between the twin towers of the World Trade Centre.
